Behaviors

Simultaneous Waveforms always

All six outputs are live at once. Patch triangle to the filter while sending pulse to a ring mod and sub to the bass path — one VCO fans out into parallel voices.

Hard Sync vs Flip Sync SYNC / FLIP inputs

SYNC resets the core to zero, producing the classic hard-sync sweep timbre. FLIP reverses direction of travel instead, yielding softer, less phase-locked harmonics — useful for pseudo-linear-FM effects without losing pitch.

Linear FM Mode EXP/LIN switch = LIN

FM1 becomes linear-response FM. Pairs with an AC-coupled audio-rate modulator for DX-style bell and metallic tones while 1V/OCT still tracks cleanly at the pitch input.

LFO Mode VCO/LFO switch = LFO

Frequency range drops to LFO territory. All six outputs still live, so one module provides sine, triangle, zig-zag, saw, PWM pulse and sub-octave square LFOs simultaneously.

PWM Range PULSE WIDTH + PWM input

Knob and CV sum. At duty-cycle extremes (0% or 100%) the pulse goes silent — useful for envelope-style gating off the PWM jack or as a hard mute trick.

Controls

Global OCTAVE 8-position slide switch sets coarse tuning in octave steps.
8 positions · 1 octave per step · highest positions can clip LFO upper limit
FM1 EXP/LIN Selects response curve of the FM1 input.
EXP: musical FM · LIN: through-zero-style timbral FM
Global FINE Fine tuning knob. Range depends on VCO/LFO mode.
VCO: ±6 semitones · LFO: ±7 octaves
Global VCO/LFO Switches between audio-rate and low-frequency operation.
VCO: 20 Hz–~60 kHz · LFO: several minutes up to ~1 kHz
FM1 FM1 Attenuator Scales depth of the FM1 input before summing.
CCW: zero · CW: unity · unipolar attenuator
PWM PWM Attenuator Scales depth of the PWM CV input.
CCW: zero · CW: unity · unipolar attenuator
PULSE PULSE WIDTH Sets base pulse duty cycle of the PULSE output, summed with PWM input.
CCW: 10% · noon: 50% square · CW: 90% · can hit 0%/100% for silence

  • FM1 audio/CV CV
Frequency modulation input; curve set by EXP/LIN switch and scaled by FM1 attenuator
  • FM2 CV CV
Dedicated exponential frequency modulation input (no attenuator)
  • PWM ±5V GATE
Pulse-width modulation input summed with PULSE WIDTH knob
