Duatt

Intellijel 14HP

Dual attenuator/attenuverter/mixer in 1U format. Each channel switchable between unipolar attenuator and bipolar attenuverter. No input defaults to +5V DC. Channel A has 2x voltage multiplier switch.

Behaviors

CV attenuation CV → IN A · UNI mode

Reduces CV amplitude for subtle modulation. Ideal for scaling LFO depth before sending to filter or VCA CV inputs.

Signal inversion CV → IN A · -/+ mode · knob CCW

Inverts a signal (e.g., turns an ADSR into a falling envelope for inverse VCA or filter control).

CV mixing OUT A unpatched

Channels A and B are summed at OUT B, enabling two CV sources to control one destination.

DC offset / voltage source no input · -/+ mode

With no input, knob generates -5V to +5V DC (or -10V to +10V with Ax2). Useful for pitch offsets or static CV.

Controls

Channel A Attenuator A Scales channel A input voltage. Behavior depends on Polarity Switch A setting.
UNI: 0–unity · -/+: invert to unity (noon = zero)
Channel A Polarity Switch A UNI: standard attenuator (0 to full). -/+: bipolar attenuverter (invert to unity, noon = zero).
No input → +5V DC internal source
Channel A Ax2 Switch Doubles the voltage at Channel A's input. Enables +10V or -10V DC offset generation.
Up = x2 active · works on internal +5V too (gives ±10V)
Channel B Attenuator B Scales channel B input voltage. Behavior depends on Polarity Switch B setting.
UNI: 0–unity · -/+: invert to unity (noon = zero)
Channel B Polarity Switch B UNI: standard attenuator. -/+: bipolar attenuverter.
No input → +5V DC internal source

  • IN A any · internal +5V when unpatched
    Input for Channel A. No cable: internal +5V DC. Doubled if Ax2 switch is on.
  • IN B any · internal +5V when unpatched
    Input for Channel B. No cable: internal +5V DC.

OUT · 2

  • OUT A
    Output of Channel A. When unpatched, A is summed into OUT B.
    NORM → OUT B (summed)
  • OUT B ±10V range
    Output of Channel B. Contains A+B sum when OUT A is unpatched.
