Expanders

CVx 14HP

1U expander for Intellijel MIDI 1U. Adds 8 fully assignable CV/gate outputs via I2C. Chain up to four CVx for 32 outs and 8 extra synths (mono, poly, or drum). Jacks configured in Intellijel Config app.

Behaviors

Adds 8 MIDI synths I2C link to MIDI 1U

Connecting one CVx raises MIDI 1U's synth count from 2 to 10. Synths 3–10 can be configured as monophonic, polyphonic, or drum (note-mapped).

Polyphonic MIDI-to-CV MIDI note-on on a Poly synth channel

When multiple outs on the same CVx (or chained CVx) are assigned to the same Poly synth, voices are allocated across those outs — up to 8-voice polyphony with per-voice Pitch/Gate/Velocity.

Drum-note mapping MIDI note number on a Drum synth channel

Each out on a Drum synth is bound to a specific MIDI note number and fires Gate, Trigger, or Velocity when that note arrives — for sample-kit trigger buses.

Free CC / clock routing MIDI CC, clock, start/stop on a mapped synth

Any out can be re-purposed as a CC CV (uni/bipolar, optional High-Res), Aftertouch CV, extra Clock (arbitrary division 1–192), Reset, or Run gate.
