Behaviors
Flips the core between audio-rate VCO and sub-audio LFO ranges. LFO range reaches roughly one minute per cycle. All eight outputs remain active in LFO mode — useful for shaped phased modulation sources.
EXP is the standard musical FM path (octaves per volt). LIN is DC-coupled around the core frequency; patch audio-rate for classic linear-FM bells and metallic tones, CV for vibrato that tracks depth rather than pitch.
Unpatched, PW knob sets a static duty cycle from 1% to 100%. Patching a cable into PW turns the knob into the CV attenuator, and the duty cycle is driven entirely by the 0–5V input.
The Complex 1 and Complex 2 outputs mix the core's triangle or saw with the PWM pulse, so PW modulation reshapes their timbre rather than just the Pulse output. Slow LFO into PW gives evolving harmonic sweeps on the Complex jacks.
Resets the triangle core. Patch a second VCO's pitched output here and sweep ONA's tuning for classic sync-lead tones across all output jacks simultaneously.
With eight simultaneous outputs from a single core, ONA can drive two or more parallel voices at the same pitch — e.g. Sine into a sub mixer and Saw into a filter voice, with Sub -1 reinforcing the fundamental.
Three trimmers behind the panel: Scale (1V/oct tracking), Base Freq (C anchor with FINE at noon), and Oct Switch (linearity across the 8-position switch). Factory calibrated; re-tune after 5–10 minute warm-up if drift appears.
20mm depth with the ribbon attached fits shallow cases. Power connector keyed with the red stripe marked on the PCB — reversed ribbons damage the circuit.
Controls
| Global | OCT | 8-position rotary switch. Coarse tuning. Positions 0–7 · each step adds one octave |
| Global | FINE | Fine-tune around the OCT setting. Active in both VCO and LFO modes. ±7 semitones · noon = 0 |
| Global | FM Mode | Selects response curve of the FM input. LIN (linear, through-zero-like use) · EXP (exponential, musical) |
| Global | Mode | Swaps core between audio and sub-audio ranges. VCO: ~20Hz–40kHz+ · LFO: ~60s per cycle up to low audio |
| Global | FM | Attenuator for the FM input. No signal below unity CCW. 0 – full · input range ±5V |
| Global | PW | Sets pulse-width base. Acts as attenuator for PW input when a cable is patched. CCW: 1% · 3 o'clock: 50% · CW: 100% |

- FM ±5V CVFrequency modulation. Behaviour (linear vs exponential) set by FM Mode switch; depth set by FM knob.
- OCT 1V/octPrimary 1V/oct pitch input. Sums with OCT switch and FINE knob.
- SYNC ±5VHard sync. Rising edge resets the triangle core; affects every output jack simultaneously.
- PW 0V – +5V GATEPulse-width CV. Modulates duty cycle of the Pulse output and the PWM pulse inside Complex 1 and Complex 2.
