Behaviors

Six Independent Dividers clock at Clock input

Each pot divides the common clock by its selected factor, generating up to six simultaneous related tempos from a single master clock.

Triplet Decomposition Multiply A = x3

Multiplying Clock A by 3 lets column A divide into non-standard ratios like 3/7 or transform 16th-note clocks into triplets. Essential for weird time signatures.

Dual Clock Domains Clock B switch lower position

Reset jack repurposed as second clock input. Columns A and B then run on independent tempos, acting as two 3-output dividers with unrelated masters.

B4 Cascade Clocking Clock B switch middle position

B4 becomes the clock source for B5 and B6. Creates compound divisions (e.g. B4=/5, B5=/4 → effective /20) for extremely long cycle times.

A2 AND B5 Logic Logic A2 switch middle

A2 output high only when both A2 divider and B5 divider are producing pulses simultaneously. Accents coincide with song-section boundaries.

A2 OR A3 Logic Logic A2 switch lower

A2 output fires on either A2 or A3 pulse. Merges two divisions into a single rhythmic trigger stream without external combiner.

B6 Reset Routing Reset B6 switch middle or lower

B6 divider output doubles as reset pulse for column A (middle) or both columns (lower). Creates automatic phrase-length reset without patching a second clock divider.

Half-Period Gates rear jumper on dividers 5 and 6

Jumper converts B5/B6 from short triggers to square gates at their divided rate. Useful for gate sequencing from the long divisions.

Column A A2 Potentiometer Divider factor for A2: 1-8. When Logic A2 switch is active, A2 output is combined logically with B5 or A3.

  • Clock 0-5V CLK
    Master clock into column A and (by default) column B. Multiply A switch processes this clock before division.
  • Reset / Clock B 0-5V CLK
    Default: resets every divider to step 1. With Clock B switch set to lower position, becomes an independent clock input for column B.

OUT · 6

  • A1 0-5V GATE
    Divider A1 trigger output.
  • A2 0-5V
    Divider A2 output. Combined with B5 (AND) or A3 (OR) when Logic switch is active.
  • A3 0-5V GATE
    Divider A3 trigger output.
  • B4 0-5V GATE
    Divider B4 trigger output. Can be internally routed as the clock source for B5/B6.
  • B5 0-5V GATE
    Divider B5 trigger or half-period gate (jumper-dependent).
  • B6 0-5V GATE
    Divider B6 trigger or half-period gate. Also routed as reset when Reset B6 switch is engaged (even while still acting as divider output).
