Voltage Multistage 10

Verbos Electronics 30HP

Four-channel staged modulator. Each slope runs as envelope, looping LFO or step sequencer with 10 shared stages, per-stage level/time/curve, quantiser, analog address and triggerable stage inputs.

Three-stage envelope
Slope 1 in Env mode with stages 1-3 active; Stage 1 sets attack, Stage 2 holds sustain and Stage 3 returns to zero. CV A drives a VCA and Gate Out retriggers the voice cleanly.

Looping LFO
Slope 2 in Loop mode with a short stage range and mixed curve settings becomes a custom LFO. CV B can move the loop length while Ref Output acts as a synced ramp for filter movement.

Step melody with slides
Slope 3 in Step mode with selected stages set to slide and others set to on. Stage 1-10 voltages become note rows, while a quantizer after CV A locks the sequence to a scale.

Analog address jump table
Strobe latched; Analog Address is driven by a slow random CV so the selected stage changes in a controlled but non-grid way. Gate Out and Ref Output still behave as stage-change clocks, so the patch stays rhythmically legible.

Self-gated loop
Stage gate outputs feed Enable and Sustain, so one active stage can hold the slope until a later stage releases it. This turns the 10-stage editor into a pseudo-sequenced envelope with internal dependency.

Behaviors

Three slope modes select Env, Loop or Step

Env outputs a triggered multistage envelope, Loop free-runs as an LFO and Step advances through voltages one stage at a time.

Stage overlap and offsets move Start / End

Each slope can use a different slice of the 10 stages, or overlap with another slope to share stage controls.

Latched analog address hold Strobe and move Analog Address

When strobe is latched, an incoming CV can pick the current stage. A changing address can generate a new note stream without the clock staying high.

Per-stage gate logic patch stage gate outs into Enable or Sustain

Stage gate outputs can turn the sequencer into a self-gated envelope, a hold stage, or a loop that only advances on chosen steps.

CV row split use CV A and CV B together

CV A can glide through stage ranges while CV B gives the immediate stage voltage, which makes slide and time modulation easy to separate.
